St Arnaud Festival Poets Breakfast

Sunday 14th November as part of the Community Festival Weekend. The event will be held from 8.00am to 12 noon at the St Arnaud Town Hall in Napier Street. All welcome.

The Country Energy Tamworth Bush Poetry Competition

The Country Energy Tamworth Bush Poetry Competition has a new home.
After 15 or more years at the Imperial Hotel, we are now moving to the Outback Bar at Wests League Club, West Tamworth. Due to changes made by the Country Music Festival organisers, lots of plans had to be changed this year, which complicated our move. We couldn't get the Outback Bar on the Wednesday, so our first day of Heats will be Tuesday, then Thursday and Friday as usual, with the Finals a little earlier on Saturday. It's been a long hard haul to get this far. Now we have to get the information out to as many people as possible. Entry forms have gone to the printers today and are now available.

VICTORIAN BUSH POETRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
March 12 - 13th 2005

The Benalla Bowling Club will see the 2005 round of Victorian Championships which will be again run by the Snowy River Bush Poets.

This event will mark the beginning of the Benalla Rose Festival with the Festival Committee keen to make us welcome and offering plenty of support. I am Convenor of the Bush Poet's Breakfast on Sunday 1 May 2005 in Birdsville as part of weekend celebrations at the start of The Great Australian Cattle Drive (600 head from Birdsville to Marree) - there are Art Exhibitions, Bush Dances, Gift Races, Sports etc. and am interested to hear from anyone wishing to take part as Poets.
